Fig shares his recollection of the day and its aftermath, and ways that the event changed the course of history. That was a black swan - a a phenomenon that occurs even though it had been thought to be impossible.

Fig examines the situation in Chile where a presidential election and revision of the constitution may fundamentally change what is arguably the most stable and successful democracy in Latin America. The black swan in this equation was a 30-peso (US$0.05) in October 2019 that sparked over two years of unrest and upheaval and set the stage for a political earthquake. Fig talks about the possible consequences and how it may relate to the political situation in the United States.
