Imposter Syndrome: How to Identify it and Push Passed It with Kaelly Arellano

Listen Later

Today, we’re talking to Kaelly Arellano, licensed social worker and therapist.

Kaelly is known for her amazing work helping first generation young professionals navigate the imposter syndrome that comes from being the first in their family to do things differently.

Over the years, Kaelly has dedicated her time providing help and guidance to people of color who may not feel like they're enough in a space where they may not be well represented. It all started with her own journey navigating through college and her professional career as a first generation student and being the first in her family to go to college and start her professional career.

Currently, Kaelly is also providing therapy to therapists and people who also hold space for others in a deep way. She understood that people who are there for others also need people to be there for them, and so she found a way to provide the safe space mental health providers need.

She's inspiring , resilient, warm, and kind, and i'm so grateful for the opportunity to share her story and mission.

In this episode, we talk about...

  • How to identify imposter syndrome in your life
  • Why women tend to feel like they're not enough
  • How being first generation amplifies the feeling of being an imposter
  • The importance of supporting others
  • How to feel like you're enough
  • Why focusing on your mental health is so important
  • The importance of finding mentorship
