The word imputed means that the merit of Christ work of mediation is legally charged to our persons, to our accounts, so we are saved, justified, made fit and entitled to all of salvation based on a righteousness we personally did not produce, the righteousness of Christ, our substitute and surety.

This is a salvation by grace. An imputed grace to walk in newness. Grace is loaded with favor, empowerment, ability, might, and efficiency. Grace is given for our spiritual life, faith, repentance, love, humility, and all the graces of the Spirit of God are available when we say yes to God and come in agreement with the work of the cross.
