Elaine is the Executive Director of Human Rights Watch's Asia Division, overseeing the work of the division in more than 20 countries. She works to bring a human rights dimension to Australian foreign and domestic policies and has been involved in conducting numerous human rights investigations in Australia and around the world. A trusted national voice on human rights issues, Elaine has been featured in publications including The Guardian, Sydney Morning Herald and The Washington Post.
