Listen Later

Elisa Zuppini (IT/NL) is a dancer and choreographer recently graduated at SNDO School for new dance development, in Amsterdam. Her background is strongly signed by a technical and experimental training in dance of which she made experience in Italy and abroad (Belgium, Austria, Turkey, India, France, Portugal, Netherlands). In 2016 she is awarded as a young talent by Open FLR (Florence). In 2018 she participate in DanceWeb Life Long Burning (Vienna).

Her work focuses in the creation of spaces where to free the experience of dancing, so to manifest as an autonomous entity. She does so by rigorously studying relational systems of movement between space and body. The latter conceived as in-organic, unbounded, decentralized and hypersensitive system of embodying forces. The materiality of the body, often isolated, turns into a stage for the residual of the synchronous sensory relationships, becoming an affective and ever transforming pivot.
Elisa is currently working as a choreographer in different projects, in collaboration with several visual artists but also for her own upcoming works.
She presented her work at: Spider Festival (Ljubljana, SLO); Uferstudio (Berlin, D); Dansmakers (Amsterdam,Nl), Gelderland fabriek (Culemborg, NL); VRJIDAG (Groeningen, NL); Villa Strozzi (Florence, IT); Theaterschool (Amsterdam, NL); Veem House for Performance (Amsterdam, NL); Baudhuis Theater (Amsterdam, NL); Teatro Campo Alegre (Porto, PT); Magma Events (Florence, IT).
