Ms. Shalini Kedia, the chairperson of The Fragile X Society of India initiated this organisation in the year 2003 with a compassion to support families of children affected with Fragile X Syndrome. Starting with one family, moving to two and three families, she today has a strength of more than a thousand families. Some with one child affected and some with four. They are all over India, most in cities and some in smaller towns. She has strived to extend her knowledge and support to each family who has reached out to her. We talked to her about mental health, intellectual disabilities like autism, education & more.
