In this conversation, DURKHANAI AYUBI, Atlantic Fellow for Social Equity, and DANA WALRATH, Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health, discuss the power of narrative and storytelling in their work. Dana is a writer, artist and anthropologist whose family came to the US as refugees from Armenia. She has written books about the Armenian Genocide and her mother’s dementia. Durkhanai is a restaurateur and writer whose family fled from Afghanistan to Australia when she was a baby. She recently published a cookbook called Parwana: Recipes and Stories from an Afghan Kitchen.
