Scripture reading: 1 Samuel 28

Reflection:

• ​Think back to a time you felt justified in doing what felt right, though it may not have been God’s full instruction? Remembering what Saul was motivated by, what were your motivations?
• ​What sort of things did you resort to when you felt that you couldn’t pray or seek Him clearly? Did you put yourself or others in danger (at risk)?
• ​How might God still have shown you mercy? What was the final outcome?
• ​When is the last time you sincerely repented to God for all sins, knowingly and unknowingly? How often do you repent?
• ​Are you more likely to repent when you feel that you’ve done something wrong or when you aren’t sure you’ve done something right?
