Life can sometimes feel mundane, unfulfilling, and without meaning. It can lead us to a cycle of burnout and feeling as though we are surviving. I believe the beauty of being human is that God intended for us to live purposeful lives. Just like we were thought of before our worldly existence, so was our purpose. It is evident in the following scriptures:

• Jeremiah 29:11 [NIV] states "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." 
• Jeremiah 1:5 [NIV] “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Purpose is embedded in us, it is not something external that needs to be 'found'. Exploring purpose means truly sitting with yourself and dissecting who you are, what you do well, and what do others seek you out for. It gives meaning to the gifts and talents that you possess. I believe that living in your purpose means giving voice and action to your talents, and being able to express them authentically in any environment that you possess.

Quit Playing Small! Take it from me, holding yourself back, succumbing to fear, allowing the validation of others to prevent you from moving forward, is not serving you. Playing small prevents you from achieving your full potential and holds you back from a life well lived. 

Signs of playing small include hiding from your true self, avoiding taking risks, giving fear the ability to reign over your life, waiting for others to live,  and settling for less than you deserve. Some of the reasons we play small include fear of vulnerability, past traumas, not knowing our value and self worth, and external pressures from peers and/or family. 

Some of the ways you can stop playing small look like you taking calculated risks, having self awareness, allow trusted sources and mentors to help build your confidence, taking action even if you have to do it scared, and showing up as your authentic self.

Growing up, I've always heard the saying 'the only constant in life, is change'. Regardless of how we plan our lives, there will always be something that shows up unexpectedly. Unfortunately, at times, we choose to hold on to the old plans, the environments, or even the people that no longer serve the season or situation we're in. It causes us to stay stuck in a way that holds us back from our true potential. 

If you are in a season where you are riddling with the decision to make a change, plan it out so you can move forward. Sometimes the fear of the change is greater than the change itself. Don't allow fear, people, or your environment to prevent you from being in alignment with where you are meant to go.

'No' is a two letter word that needs no assistance to perform its job well! But there are those of us who struggle to exercise our right to say no without feeling guilty, having that annoying knot in our throat, or feeling pressured to cave and say 'yes'.

This episode discusses some of the reasons why we may feel the need to always agree to others, even when we lack the capacity to do so. We also discuss that sometimes saying 'no' gives us the opportunity to set boundaries, which translates into respect. 

Remember, boundaries teach others how to treat you. If you're constantly giving others the opportunity to overtake you/your life, they'll forever have the power to rule you. 

Set yourself up for success by checking in with yourself about your capacity, your needs and whether or not they're being met, and also set boundaries regarding your time and energy. 

Saying no may upset others, but may be the very tool that will save you in this season.

• What can you do today to prioritize rest?
• What tasks can you outsource?
• What activities can you reschedule (that don't need to happen right away)?
• If your job is taxing, can you pivot?

Have you ever wondered where you would be if you allowed yourself to fully transform without bounds?

In this episode, I explore what it means to be in full bloom. Just like flowers during springtime, we have seasons where we bloom. But there are also seasons where we hibernate to gather the necessary tools for our blooming season. However, there are moments when we are dormant, feeling stuck, not knowing what to do next or where to turn. 

In full bloom means no matter what stage or season you're in, you are in the driver's seat of your life. Take the time out and give yourself grace to figure out what it means for you to show up in this lifetime, at your fullest potential. Who would you be if you gave yourself the space to show up unapologetically? 

Take the steps necessary to be molded especially during those seasons when life seems to be stomping you into the ground. Sometimes it means that we are being cast, like metal, into formation for our next season. Sometimes, when it's time to level up, is when we go through the toughest moments. 

Don't give up on the ideal version of yourself, but take time to work on what you need, to grow.
