In 2 Corinthians 1, Paul defended himself against the charge of duplicity. The charge came from the false apostles in Corinth who were deceiving the church. Not only was Paul’s character attacked, but the gospel was being compromised. God does not contradict Himself, yet the Corinthians were accepting a contradictory message. In Him is yes, not yes and no. Those in the world would do well to recognize this as well. The denominational system contradicts God’s will.
