In this episode I sit with Dana Mistretta, a current intuitive wellness practitioner, teaching people to heal wholistically. She takes us through her childhood dream being crushed after having been being taunted in the middle school locker room, which lead her down a self-destructive path of body shaming, numbing out, drinking, drugging, and self-harm. All of these things were covering up the sexual abuse she experienced as a child. This followed her to college and to the point of almost losing her life.

Listen in while Dana shares her awakening, moving through depression, the falling away, and the pivotal moments that gave her one of two options: continue down this path, or decide that she was going to live. She decided that she was possible, and that her dreams were possible, and she shares how she found her spark that ignited the power of choice within her, and the healing modalities that have move her through it all.

In episode 3 I touch on Faith & Belief being the energy behind our great ‘manifestations’, for it is what carries us to the other side of our challenges; Reason to keep going, reason for our being in this life.

So what do we believe in? Where are we placing our power? Do we truly believe that in which we say we do? The proof is in the pudding, but without faith, many times we lose hope in times of struggle. Without faith, we lose our way on the path towards achieving our goals and our dreams.

Amongst these two principals, I share a few other key ingredients in developing strong character. Success comes in many forms, but never without challenges & consistent hard work. We aren’t always dealt the best hand, but how we play our cards determines our results. We all have choices, do we fold or do we conquer?

I refuse to accept my emotional traumas as my identity, I refuse to accept a label that boxes me in, I refuse to accept my learned behaviors to be ‘just the way that I am’. If I’m not free and thriving, healthy, and beyond my painful experiences.. I am not Alive, merely living. If I don’t continue to push my own boundaries, what am I missing out on? Self Love is acceptance, but what are we truly accepting?

One of the many things promised in this life is Death. We experience death in so many ways in this life, not just the physical, but it is the physical death that introduces us to the heaviest form of grief.

So often paralyzing, kind of taboo, awkward & uncomfortable so many, and for this reason I hope add more context and conversation around it this season.

My guest Sophie lost her father at 16 years old. In Episode 2, she shares her experience, thoughts, and wisdom gained through the years; and touches on grief and the process that doesn’t seem to have a time limit on it, but continues to move & shift in different ways as she continues living this life. Death is inevitable, and grief is so very intimate. Life is precious, and every breath is a blessing.

At this point in my life my greatest desire is to play my role in helping to shatter & shift all of our untruths to truth, all of our pains to love. 

Season 2 is here! I’m back at it, I went through a season, and that season brought me here. New experiences, new revelations, deeper sense of Purpose, and I’m being called to share.

In this episode, I share my journey through depression & learning grace, how this helped expose some of my blind spots, and now rediscovering passion in my life and gaining the momentum required in order to move forward and make it all happen.
