In Memory of Me

In Memory of Me -13- with Peter and Richard - on the Eucharist -on Maundy Thursday - Totus2us

Listen Later

Peter, from London: "To me the Eucharist is special because it's a gift from God which I couldn't earn for myself or I couldn't bring into my life, but He has given it to us. Becoming united with God in our earthly lives is really encouraging, it makes me strong. And I know that I have to work at my life to be ready to receive the Eucharist at Mass and this is one thing which keeps me on track. Also the Eucharist is our salvation and it reminds me of God's sacrifice on the cross, when He gives up his body for us, and I don't lose sight of the Easter miracle because I have the Eucharist every week." Richard, from England: "I remember when I was a little boy and it was midnight Mass .. There was the moment during the Mass where the priest lifted up the Host and that was the first moment I thought 'That's Jesus'. And that moment has stayed with me ever since and that's how the Eucharist has become the source of my life, wanting to go to Mass daily and meet with Jesus." Music by Fr Stan Fortuna CFR.
