Are we listening? Are we allowing space for others to engage without feeling hindered? Debate is healthy, and we also need to know when engagement doesn't require proving rightness. In other words, we can have a discussion to understand, rather than feeling like we have to argue opposing viewpoints all the time. Sometimes, we need to take a step back and listen to others. Nothing comes from pushing your unsolicited viewpoints when someone needs a compassionate ear or helpful feedback.
