Tim Murphy is a lecturer and clinical supervisor for the optometry program at the University of Canberra. He is also a final-year PhD candidate at Deakin University investigating screening methodologies for diabetic retinopathy and the role of artificial intelligence in optometric practice. After studying software engineering with a focus on AI, Tim completed his optometry degree at Deakin University in 2018 and commenced his PhD studies in 2021. His research interests include how AI and other technologies can enhance patient outcomes in optometry.
