When people see the world differently, they value different things. And when values diverge, behavior inevitably follows. Whether in schools, organizations, or families, lasting alignment begins with shaping how people think, what they believe, and ultimately what they love.
In this episode of Clearly Christian, host Dr. Cy Smith, Superintendent of Mansfield Christian School, welcomes Dr. Andy Goodwin, principal and CEO of Covenant Christian High School in Indianapolis.
They discuss how leaders can move an organization toward deeper alignment by focusing not just on what people think, but how they think. Leaders can build a shared culture through a clearly defined mission, vision, and core values, reinforced through hiring, training, and ongoing spiritual formation.
Then, by teaching students how to think through a biblical worldview—and by modeling it within the community—schools can prepare graduates who remain grounded in their faith while navigating complex ideas, conversations, and challenges beyond the classroom.
