In this deeply personal episode of Messages from Heaven, I sit down with my husband, Brian, to talk about something rarely shared so openly, what it means to honor our marriage vows in sickness and in health through addiction, illness, and faith.

Over our 40 years together, we’ve faced seasons that tested everything, his diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis, battles with addiction, and moments when it felt like our marriage might not survive.

Yet, in the breaking, God showed us how love, prayer, and surrender could rebuild what pain had torn apart.

Brian courageously shares his journey through addiction and recovery, the turning point that led him to rehab at sixty, and the spiritual awakening that followed. I share the other side of that story, the faith, the prayers, the moments of complete surrender that brought both of us back to God and to one another.
