This first installment of the Edgefield County News podcast introduces the origin story of our new effort to practice community journalism in Edgefield County, a small rural county in western South Carolina.

Recorded on-location on the picturesque square in downtown Edgefield, this episode also takes us to Cook's Farm & Roadside Market in nearby Trenton. There, we meet the Cook family who have been selling peaches along the roadside for 65 summers.
