On this episode of the In The Corners Podcast with C.C. Hawkley...Isaac Berky, the Director of Public Relations and Broadcasting for the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings, joins the show!
Isaac’s professional experience began as a broadcast assistant for the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch in 2013-14. After two years of sports reporting for KFYR-TV, the NBC affiliate in Bismarck, North Dakota, he became the Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting for the USHL’s Omaha Lancers in 2016. Berky then joined the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals in 2017 before taking his current position with the Wings in August of 2018.

Isaac discussed the struggles that Kalamazoo had been having early on this season, both with call-ups and injuries, as the Wings continue to navigate the six-team “meat grinder” that is the Central Division
C.C. also had his update on the Steelheads’ recent three-game series with the Tulsa Oilers, and how the Dallas Stars’ lack of defensemen has trickled down and affected Idaho on their blue line, as well.
