Chapter chair Olga Bolotina kicks off a new interview series, 'In the Know', with a conversation with Sierra Club SF Bay Chapter director Minda Berbeco, Ph.D. Before joining the Sierra Club, Minda worked as the programs and policy director at the National Center for Science Education, where she defended and supported the teaching of socially contentious but scientifically sound topics, like evolution and climate change, in public schools. In her current role, she often relies on her scientific expertise, having earned a Ph.D. in biology from Tufts University, where she studied the impact of climate change on terrestrial systems.
Conversation originally aired on April 10, 2020. About 'In the Know' with Olga Bolotina: The 'In the Know' series will introduce you to the people behind the Club's policies and messages. What drives them, what keeps them up at night, and what can we learn from and about them that will inspire us in our own life and work? Join Olga each Friday at noon for a new 'In the Know' interview.
