This week on "In The Oil Patch": host Kym Bolado and her co-hosts Alvin Bailey and Roy Holley have Forbes writer and SHALE contributor, David Blackmon in the studio. David has been on "In The Oil Patch" before, and has been featured in multiple articles on our website and magazine. Being the distinguished individual he is, David expertly yet humbly answers a couple questions we received from oil field workers on our Facebook page recently. He goes into details about how the oil and gas market prices are affected by many different variables, and although we have an oil reserve in California, we would not need access to it unless there was a national crisis to be averted.

On our "Ask The Expert" segment this week, Kym and Roy ask pertinent questions about the oil and gas industry to our resident expert, Omar Garcia (STEER). The signing of House Bill 40/Senate Bill 1165 is the subject that Omar focuses on early in this segment and for good reason: this bill protects Texas regulatory rights in the oil and gas industry and preserves local authority. This bill will help keep communities thriving as well as safe since there will be more local regulatory policies and procedures in place.
