Episode 36 of "In The Oil Patch"
This week on "In The Oil Patch": host Kym Bolado and her co-hosts Alvin Bailey and Roy Holley have our esteemed guest, Brian Babin our Congressman who represents Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives. Congressman Babin has graciously taken the 36th Congressional District of Texas into his hands and is fighting for our right to live in a state (and country, for that matter) that allows us to compete on the global energy market. As of October 9th, 2015, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill attempting to lift the crude oil export ban which was first voted into place back in the early 1970's, which Congressman Babin was a huge proponent for. During our interview, Congressman Babin calls for a change in the way we as Americans think and vote. He, along with a majority of his peers in the House, would love to see this export ban lifted, but with the Obama Administration already threatening to veto the bill, the chances are highly unlikely that the bill will get signed by Obama. With a new administration in sight, we can only look onward to the near future and hopefully, the eventual passing of this very important bill.
