In Matthew 13:24–43, Jesus tells the Parable of the Weeds, describing how wheat and weeds grow together in the same field until the harvest. He explains that the field is the world, the good seed represents the children of the kingdom, and the weeds represent the children of the evil one. Rather than uprooting the weeds prematurely, both are allowed to grow until the final judgment. The passage emphasizes patience now, but certainty of separation and justice at the end of the age.
