In Matthew 6:19–34, Jesus calls His followers to reorient their hearts from earthly security to heavenly trust. He contrasts treasures on earth with treasures in heaven, reminding us that where our treasure is, our heart will follow. He then addresses anxiety, urging us not to be consumed by worry over material needs, but to trust the Father who feeds the birds and clothes the lilies. The passage culminates in the call to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,” trusting that everything else will be provided in its proper place.
