In these four episodes the disciples prove that they don't really understand who Jesus is. The reality is greater than they could have possibly imagined. Jesus is truly God as revealed on the Mountain of the Transfiguration. But his true greatness is revealed on a mountain outside of Jerusalem, where he gives his life to save us from sin and death.
