The good news first:

The bad news:
On October 21, Renee Davis, a pregnant citizen of the Muckleshoot Indian tribe, was shot to death in her own home on the reservation. The police claim they were called there to help.
NYPD officer who shot and killed 66 year old mentally ill Deborah Danner was sued twice before for abuse of power.
Kansas cites the overturned Dred Scot case to make the case for its overturned abortion law.
Last Sunday, police brutalized and pepper sprayed peaceful Native American protestors who were praying for an end to the Dakota Access Pipeline, arresting 83 of them. A female activist was said to be beaten and put naked into a holding cell.
Human rights lawyers filed a lawuit against the FBI and the Dept of Homeland Security last Thursday for records showing the surveillance of Black Lives Matter activists.
