In the midst of barrenness and oppression, Hannah cried out to the Lord and God granted her request to have a child. Even so, she did not keep her child all for herself. Rather, she dedicated the child fully unto the Lord – even though Eli was not a good High Priest and the temple was full of corruption. Likewise, we must never be afraid to surrender our best unto the Lord. This is a sign of a revived life, being able to trust God with our best.
