In the opening week of the new series on the book of Numbers Lee Woodmansee does the yeoman's work of setting the context of the book of Numbers.
Lee traces the story thus far from Genesis 1 to our opening in the fourth book of the Bible. Lee then sets about answering some key questions for the text before us:
What is the deal with the Tent of Meeting?
Why are the tribes arranged so particularly?
Why are the Levites excluded in the numbering initially?
