In 1 John 5, John reminds believers to guard themselves from idols. When we rest in who Jesus is, this is when we find joy, peace, and contentment. We cannot get sucked back in by what we’ve been delivered from. When we realize who we are in Christ, we understand that what we have is worth protecting. Satan’s goal is not to get you to worship him; Satan’s goal is to simply cloud and distract your relationship with God. Don't let idols distract your relationship with God.
