If you have a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ, you will look different than you did before you met Him. In his letter, John is saying it's not enough for us just to have Jesus all to ourselves. But our joy is ultimately made complete when we get the opportunity to tell others about the experience that we have. As a child of God, if you have truly experienced a relationship with Jesus Christ, it is not enough for you to keep it to yourself. You are commanded by the Word of God that once you have tasted and seen that the Lord is good, it is your responsibility to tell others about Him. Listen to this sermon about joy-giving principles in the first part of our In The Word series, walking through the book of 1 John.
