In 1 John 5, John reminds believers that we can have confidence in knowing our salvation. John wants us to know that we can know. It's not what we do that qualifies our faith but it is who we place our faith in that qualifies it. God wants us to know that we are saved. God wants us to know that we can be saved and rest fully in that. May our prayer be from Mark 9:21-27, "God, I believe but help my unbelief." Listen to this sermon from 1 John 5 in the ninth part of our In The Word - 1 John series.
