In 1 John 5, John reminds believers about us knowing that we are of God. If we are of God, then the enemy cannot touch us. If we have trusted Jesus as our Savior, then we can declare 1 John 5:19. We can have confidence in knowing that what Jesus did was enough. What we need to be thankful for is that we eternity is set as a believer. There's nothing that can take that away as a follower of Christ. We are in this world but we are not of this world. The enemy doesn't stand a chance against God and His Word. We fight our battles by resting in Jesus. Listen to this sermon from 1 John 5 in the tenth part of our In The Word - 1 John series.
