As James continues his letter, he is giving instructions of what to ask God for and how to ask for it when facing trials. We have to acknowledge that God has something that we need, and that is wisdom. Once we acknowledge that we need it, we need to ask God for wisdom. When we ask God for wisdom, we need to trust that He is going to give it and that what He gives is right. God is going to give wisdom through His Word, prayer, and His people. When you use the wisdom that God gives you, you will receive the crown of life. The reason we are given the crown of life is so that we can one day take it off and lay it at His feet because He was the one who helped us through it.
