In The Word | The Heart of a Servant

Listen Later

In Philippians 2:19-30, Paul speaks in high regard to the church of Philippi about Timothy and Epaphroditus. Through both of their lives, we see the importance of the local church pouring into people and the faithfulness of their serving for the advancement of the gospel. These were just ordinary men that God used to serve and spread the gospel. Through their humility, faithfulness, and obedience, we see what the heart of a servant should look like. In the same way, we must not let our past distract us from what God has called us to do and instead make ourselves available so that God can use us in the way that He wants to. This is the way the church, the body of believers, is supposed to be. Listen to this sermon about letting go of your past, making yourself available, getting poured into or pouring yourself out to have the heart of a servant in the tenth part of our In The Word series walking through Philippians.
