God was doing what He was doing in and through the church of Thessalonica because of the emphasis the Thessalonians were putting on God’s Word. The power has always been, always will, always going to be found in the Word. There is unity in the Word of God. If we open our hearts and minds, the power of God will bring salvation and perform a work in all of us. There’s power in the Word of God not just for salvation but because it performs a work in the lives of those who believe. Are we letting God’s Word perform a work in us? The Word of God brings us together. The Word of God brings unity. The Word of God aligns hearts so that we can walk through life’s struggles together.
