Slavery not only stripped Africans descended Americans of their freedom but of their native languages, families, religion, and other vital information that shape identity. To fill this gap in knowledge, we aim to take listeners on a journey to understand the 1% of the genome that makes up their individuality. Our pilot episode will be released on December 10th.
