Isaiah understood the peoples' tendency to seek help from Egypt, so he urged them to place their trust in the Lord rather than relying on human strength and wisdom. Highlighting the frailty of human leaders versus the might of the Holy One of Israel, he called the people to reject idols, return to the Lord, and trust Him alone to judge and save.
