Building on the heated discussions we had in episode 3, Angela tells us about a recent case in China where a girl was sold off by her parents for marriage. As we explore the possible reasonings and the social context behind what happened, we also share experiences with our own parents who, at the very least, did not try to sell us off. Jokes aside, we just want to emphasize that when we are trying to put ourselves in the parents' shoes and understand their thought process, we are in no way agreeing with what they did, but merely trying to make sense of the horrible violation that took place.
