Welcome, listeners! Join me, Lisa Toth, as we venture through the Hidden Workforce, a show about the positive impact people who live with different abilities bring to the workforce and our world.
Lisa kicks us off this week with Tulsa Tech's Inclusive Culinary Arts Program with their lead instructor, Jill! These hard-working students will earn all the certifications they need to be restaurant employable by graduation. If you know someone looking for an inclusive and accommodating culinary arts program- send them Tulsa Tech's way! We're thankful for the sponsorship of Christ View Christian Church and OKDRS for making this program happen. You can contact Teresa Burg at 918-828-5000 for more information!
Next, Alex takes us to Norman, Oklahoma where we meet Dillon Griffitts! A proud member of the Choctaw Nation and a die-heart Swiftie, Dillon is an active creator with Invisible Layers Productions with Autism Oklahoma, a performer with local theater companies, and dual degree recipient with an associates in Theater from OCCC as well as a bachelors in Native American Studies from OU.
Then we wrap up at Lisa's favorite exhibit at the Tulsa Zoo- when she isn't working with a client in their job there, she's with the Snowy Owl!
