Lucinda Evans, founded Philisa Abafazi Bethu (Xhosa for Heal our Women) in 2008. The non-governmental organisation based in Lavender Hill, Cape Town, primarliy works with women and children suffering from sexual and physical abuse. She too was named in 2019’s BBC list of 100 inspiring and influential women from around the world. She chats to Kyeezi on The Great Drive about the impact that the death of Tazne van Wyk has our communities, how our justice system is failing us and the presents solution-driven answers to those within our communities and our government.
