Ben Azadi is the creator of Keto Kamp, a community of people that believe in the healing benefits of the Keto metabolic process.  You’ll notice we didn’t say Keto diet, and that’s because it’s not a diet.  As a metabolic process, ketosis has been around as long as humans have existed.  Ben was only introduced to it in 2008, when he was obese, depressed, and suicidal.  A friend gave him a book called The Slight Edge that talked about how your daily habits compound and manifest in your health and results.  This led Ben down a path of self development which included Keto.

He learned that if he dropped his carbs to under 50g/day he would also drop his glucose and insulin levels.  In turn, that forces the body to use stored fat as energy.  In addition, your body starts to produce ketones which get rid of inflammation.  Now if you’re worried about never having carbs again, Ben says you can relax.  Once you’ve experienced ketosis for 8-12 weeks you can bring your carbs back up to 200-300g/day for a couple days a week.
