As a leader, you are constantly faced with challenges and obstacles in your work. Whether it's managing a team, fundraising, or navigating complex community issues, the work can often feel overwhelming and stressful. Resilience is the ability to bounce back from these challenges and keep moving forward. Here are 3 components of resiliency to consider:
1. Adaptability/Flexibility - if your reaction is rigid, it's because your thinking is rigid
2. Self Efficacy/Self Confidence - do you believe that you can figure things out? Your answer to that question points to your level of self confidence.
3. Optimism - the more we figure things out, the more optimistic we start to feel about ourselves and our work.
All 3 work in tandem and when we increase one component, our overall resiliency will also increase because they all work together. I'd love to hear from you - which of these are you working on?
