I don't watch the news anymore, and I have to be honest with you, it's liberating. Many have said, and Denzel Washington made the words famous, "if you don't read the newspaper you are uninformed, and if you do read the newspaper you are misinformed." A bold statement indeed.
Out of those two options, I've elected option C – to be uninformed about the misinformation that I previously allowed to ring in my ears all day everyday on the television in my office. Instead, putting on the earmuffs and allowing myself to come up with my own consensus of the topics I care most about. My in-house analyst and I now read boring white papers, academic research and note conversations with other real estate professionals "on the front lines" that offer little in the way of glorified opinions, but rather allow ourselves to come up with our own perspective as for the story the data presents.
As a result of this research, I've been invited to numerous local organizations including academic institutions in our community to present our observations on what we find. And in every instance, we've received follow-up emails for copies of our presentations for these same individuals to consider when trying to get a better understanding for the state of the real estate industry.
As I've always said, my personal goal is to provide the greatest possible amount of value to my real estate partners that enable you to grow your business. With that said, I am excited to announce our newest value proposition – a monthly State of the Market conference call entitled Facts and Figures with Matt Weaver.
Facts and Figures will be held on the last Tuesday of every month, and deliver the most relevant stats and information as to the happenings of the real estate industry. The goal of this monthly call will be to deliver everything an agent or broker would need to know about the months real estate activity in the most efficient and timely manner. What that means is once a month, at 11:45am, for 15 minutes, listeners will have everything you need to know about the real estate industry, how it might affect your business and ideas as to how to capitalize off it.
We do encourage listeners to take notes, but as an added benefit, we will be sending out call summaries to those who joined the call.
We are going to cut out the noise to deliver the information you need when you need it most – right now.
