Season 2 Episode 33: Bridging the Disability Employment Divide with Independence Blue Cross| Growing Greater

This week on Growing Greater we learn about a novel program that is making access to the workplace possible for those  who may have once believed that a career-oriented job was not possible for them.  Independence Blue Cross (Independence) has partnered with The Precisionists Inc. (TPI) to create a pilot program that uses the talents of a team of autistic adults from TPI’s workforce to tackle critical business needs within Independence’s Human Resources department. Jeanie Heffernan, EVP & Chief Human Resources Officer at Independence and Ernie Dianastasis, Founder & CEO, at TPI sat down with Matt Cabrey, Executive Director of Select Greater Philadelphia, a council of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia to explain how this special partnership is helping to bridge the disability employment divide.
