Kipper is the Hebrew word for "covering." This is the root word from which comes Yom Kippur--the day of Mercy in the Jewish liturgical year. On that day, God covers his people with mercy. The entire nation is then freed from sin and liberated to worship God fully. This is where our true freedom and independence comes from. Happy 4th!
