To claim independence means that you don’t depend on someone else’s finances, thought’s or livelihood. It means you don’t depend on someone else’s authority. We tend to holler out I’m independent but turn around and depend on other people to get things done. Don’t get me wrong people go through things and have hard times. That’s different than you being complacent with your inability to do for you and yours. My motto is to depend on me and the only person that can make me fail will be me. When you lean on people and they fall you fail. I will not put my fate or measure my success through the next person.
