India advances to final despite brilliant Bethell

Listen Later

India advances to the World Cup final despite a heroic effort from England. India’s seven run win hinged on two key moments. Beyond that, Bumrah was the difference as he once again showed why he is a generational talent and how India continues to excel because of his bowling. We also talk about those two key moments in this match where if it had turned out differently, England would have won.

Once again, I pay tribute to Bethell and his cool demeanor which quite frankly has been the most positive things about England in this tournament. While more experienced cricketers with a longer track record of winning have melted under pressure he has stayed steady.

And did Harry Brook make the right call in terms of his team? I don’t think he did.

We also look ahead to the final India V New Zealand and whether India needs to drop some of their weaker performers. But we’ll have much more time to talk about that in the next show.
