For food writer Priya Krishna, her mother Ritu’s penchant for cooking, lead her away from the traditional dal and sabzi recipes you’d see in Hindi cookbooks, instead, considering her cuisine a coalescence. Now, it’s the eponymous name given to her daughter Priya’s cookbook, “Indian-ish": Recipes and Antics from a Modern American Family”.
