***SPOILERS for INDIANA JONES and THE DIAL OF DESTINY*** “It belongs in a museum!” is a line that certainly does NOT pertain to Harrison Ford who made his return to the trademark brown hat and bullwhip on July 30th in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Ford, now 81, plays a 70-year-old Dr. Henry Jones for a 5th time in the franchise. This is the first time however that the character is not under the direction of Steven Spielberg. James Mangold of Logan and Ford v. Ferrari fame takes the director’s this time and the man certainly has a way of giving icon characters a perfect send off. Phoebe Waller-Bridge enters the fray as Indy’s goddaughter Helena, and is set-up as a potential successor to the Jones throne. JAFN favorite Mads Mikkelsen also comes aboard as the trademark Nazi villain. We had a blast with this film and while box office numbers have been dismal it’s not for lack of a quality film. Tonight we’re going to discuss the film and the franchise and our love for the character all-around. To quote Sallah “Give em’ Hell Indiana Jones!”
