Inkwell J is a lyricist and songwriter from Long Beach, CA with fire, flare, and "uncheckable" style. Influenced by Nas and Mos Def, Inkwell J started writing at a young age, and eventually stepped up to the mic at local talent shows and freestyle battles. After graduating college, Inkwell J embarked on a journey to expand her skills and presence in her hometown, determined to claim her spot as the "Princess of the West Coast." Inkwell J has shared the stage with YoYo, Ja Rule, Lady of Rage and The Pharcyde, and is eager to begin touring in 2016 following the release of her first EP, "Linden Ave." Her new single, "Yum Yum," with beat produced by J Proof (The Game, Jill Scott), has gotten rave reviews and is quickly becoming a local favorite.
