In this recording we check in with Jason Cass, an agency principal who enjoys challenging the status quo. These days he’s putting energy into a new conference, called IndieTech, to showcase oft-disparate technology players who are improving independent agents’ company and customer workflows and service. Smart agents are moving well beyond the capabilities of traditional management systems, Jason says. He points out a recent demo where an insuretech used artificial intelligence in a browser to eliminate the need for APIs, accessing carriers’ underwriting models and generating 11 quotes in less than 30 seconds and a bindable proposal in less than five minutes. “That is an electrifying thing,” Jason says. “AI will not replace agents. But agents who use AI will replace agents who don’t. It’s the great separator.” IndieTech 2023 will be hosted in Indianapolis in August.
